Architecture Detective Summer Camp
June 17 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
$185

Join us for an engaging one-week day camp at the Johnston-Felton-Hay House, designed for children ages 9-12 who have a curiosity about history and preservation! Campers will explore Macon’s architectural heritage, learning about different styles and the significance of preserving historical structures.
Highlights of the camp include:
- A van tour with Visit Macon, tracing the area’s history from its earliest settlements at the site of what is now Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park.
- Hands-on learning about architectural and painting finishes.
- A creative experience at Historic Macon’s Second Street workshop, where campers will discover and design their own projects.
By the end of the week, participants will have a deeper appreciation for how the past shapes our present and why it’s essential to preserve it for future generations.
Rates and Payment: Fee is $185. The last date for a refund is May 31, 2025, minus $25 processing fee.
