About John T. Edge
John T. Edge is the author of House of Smoke: A Southern Goes Searching for Home and the host of TrueSouth, the National Emmy Award-winning television series airing on SEC Network, ESPN, Disney, and Hulu. He pens a regular restaurant column for Garden & Gun and is the author of The Potlikker Papers: A Food History of the Modern South (2017), which was recognized as one of the year’s best books by NPR and Publishers Weekly. At the University of Mississippi, Edge serves as a teacher, writer-in-residence, and director of the Mississippi Lab. He also mentors emerging writers in the low-residency MFA program in narrative nonfiction at the University of Georgia. He lives in Oxford, Mississippi, with his wife, artist Blair Hobbs.
